New York-based indie pop artist Jonny Pierce plunges into the work of healing from childhood trauma and the long shadow it casts over adulthood. The Drums unite their innocent-sounding indie pop and forays into experimental rock and electronics with vulnerable songwriting. The mix of Factory Records-style indie and 1950s surf inspirations on 2009’s happy-go-lucky debut single “Let’s Go Surfing” and 2010’s self-titled debut album made them one of the most buzzed-about indie bands.

Founded in 2014, Men I Trust is an indie dance band composed of Jessy, Dragos, and Emma. Their sound often mixes dreamy melodies with wistful chords and low-key dance grooves. The group started working on their new album amidst the global lockdown and did not expect to be able to tour the songs. They wrote freely, as if suspended in time with no external attachments, and without necessarily intending to play their new songs live. It looks like the “Untourable Album” will be tourable after all!
