Jakarta 2019 was the year Joyland truly found its big stage. For the very first time, we grew into a two-day festival—a gathering filled with music, film, comedy, workshops, and storytelling. It was our biggest step yet, and it felt like the beginning of something we had always dreamed of.
We welcomed incredible performances from Washed Out, Frankie Cosmos, Yves Tumor, TOPS, Hatchie, Anna of the North, and so many more, alongside our favorite local acts who gave the festival its heartbeat. Together, they filled the weekend with unforgettable sounds and moments.
What made it even more special were the things beyond the stage: the shared laughter in our comedy space, the magic of films under the open sky, the curiosity sparked in workshops, and the intimacy of storytelling sessions.
Looking back, Joyland Jakarta 2019 wasn’t just our first big event—it was a milestone. A celebration of creativity, community, and passion that marked the start of Joyland’s journey into something even greater.
